The Chinese company Unitree Robotics has published a video in which its humanoid robot H1 demonstrates the ability to reach speeds of up to 10 meters per second. According to the developers, the device again set a world record.

The robot was tested on an athletics track. As H1 ran past the measuring equipment, the display recorded a value of 10.1 m/s. At the same time, the company clarified that the equipment used may have a certain error, so the result should be considered indicative.

The published video also revealed the technical characteristics of the model: the total length of the thigh and lower leg is about 80 cm, and the weight of the robot is approximately 62 kg. The developers note that in terms of its dimensions, the H1 is comparable to the physique of an adult.

The speed of about 10 m/s is already approaching the average value of the world record in the men’s 100 meters. In 2009, Usain Bolt ran the distance in 9.58 seconds, which corresponds to an average speed of approximately 10.44 m/s.

Unitree Robotics CEO Wang Xinxing previously said at the 2026 Yabuli Entrepreneur Forum that humanoid robots could cover the 100-meter distance in less than 10 seconds by mid-2026, potentially surpassing Bolt’s performance.

Running remains one of the key tests for humanoid robot manufacturers in China. Thus, at the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games, the Tien Kung Ultra robot won the 100-meter race with a result of 21.50 seconds, ahead of Unitree’s H1 and several other participants.

Also in February 2026, the Chinese company MirrorMe introduced a new full-size humanoid robot, Bolt. According to the developers, with a height of 175 cm and a weight of 75 kg, he is capable of reaching a maximum running speed of up to 10 m/s.

The second half-marathon among humanoid robots is planned for April 19. According to analysts, this year several models may enter the starting line at once, which will make the competition more spectacular and competitive.

Let us remind you that scientists have created a guide robot that communicates with a person.
