Winter is the perfect time for rich, flavorful, and truly healthy soups. When the temperature drops, the body needs more energy, vitamins, and warmth. A good soup not only warms you up, but also helps support your immune system, improves digestion, and keeps you full for a long time. We at joy-pup will look at three soup recipes that will become your indispensable helpers during the cold season.
Chicken and vegetable soup with ginger

Ingredients:
- Chicken breast – 300 g
- Carrots – 1 pc.
- Potatoes – 2 pcs.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Ginger root – 2-3 cm
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Bay leaf, salt, and pepper – to taste
- Herbs – optional
Directions:
- Boil the chicken until done, remove and dice.
- Add chopped vegetables and grated ginger to the broth.
- Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
- Return the chicken to the soup, add the garlic and spices, and simmer for another 3 minutes.
- Serve hot with herbs.
Creamy Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients:
- Pumpkin – 500 g
- Carrot – 1
- Onion – 1
- Creamy cream or coconut milk – 150 ml
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp
- Nutmeg, salt, and pepper
Directions:
- Fry the onion and carrot in butter until soft.
- Add the chopped pumpkin and simmer gently.
- Add water or broth and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Blend until creamy.
- Add cream and spices, and heat for 2-3 minutes.
Lentil and Vegetable Soup

Ingredients:
- Red lentils – 200 g
- Carrots – 1
- Potatoes – 2
- Onions – 1
- Tomatoes – 2 or 100 g tomato puree
- Paprika, turmeric, salt, and pepper
Directions:
- Rinse the lentils.
- Chop the vegetables and lightly fry the onions and carrots.
- Add the potatoes, lentils, tomatoes, and spices.
- Add water and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- Serve with herbs or a spoonful of yogurt.
