Ingredients
- Peanuts (unroasted or roasted) – 500 g
- Vegetable oil (preferably peanut or any neutral) – 1-2 tbsp. spoons
- Honey, sugar or syrup (optional, for a sweet taste) – 1-2 tsp
- Salt – a pinch (to taste)

Step-by-step preparation
- If you use raw peanuts, you need to peel them from the shell and thin brown film. It is most convenient to do this after roasting. To do this, roast them in a dry frying pan or in the oven at 180 ° C for about 10-15 minutes. Make sure that the peanuts do not burn, stir occasionally. Roasting will enhance the taste of the paste.
- Place the peanuts in the bowl of a powerful blender or food processor. Start grinding the peanuts. At first, they will turn into crumbs, then they will begin to release oil, after which the mixture will become creamy. The process can take from 5 to 10 minutes.
- When the paste is smooth, add salt, honey or sugar (if using) and vegetable oil.
- Continue grinding until the desired consistency. The more oil you add, the thinner the paste will be.
- Transfer the finished peanut butter to a glass jar with an airtight lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 weeks.
