The perfect oval face shape is not only genetics, but an art that can be created with makeup. The main thing is to choose the right sculpting technique, shades and makeup products. We at joy-pup tell you how to achieve the perfect oval face shape with makeup.
Step 1. Prepare your skin
First, wash your face with a gentle cleanser. Then apply a moisturizer, which will provide a smooth base for makeup. After that, apply a primer with a smoothing effect to even out the skin texture.
Step 2. Create an even tone
Choose a foundation with a shade that matches your skin color. Apply it with a brush or sponge, blending evenly.
Use concealer to conceal skin imperfections and dark circles under the eyes. Set your makeup with a light mattifying powder.
Step 3. Contouring for an oval face
Contouring is a key technique that helps to visually correct the shape of your face. You will need a matte bronzer (or sculptor) and a highlighter.
Identify key areas: find the hollows under your cheekbones, jawline, and temples.
Use bronzer to highlight the line under your cheekbones, applying it from the ear to the center of your cheek. Then lightly highlight the line of your chin and jaw. This will visually “pull” your face together and remove the effect of a wide oval. Apply a little product to your temples and the sides of your forehead to balance the proportions.
Apply highlighter to the protruding parts of your face: the upper parts of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, the center of your forehead, and your chin. This will give your skin a fresh, radiant look.
Step 4. Correction with blush
Blush adds freshness to the face and makes the transitions between bronzer and highlighter smoother.
Choose a blush in a natural shade (peach or pink). Apply it to the apples of the cheeks, blending it towards the temples to lengthen the face.
Step 5. Accentuate the eyebrows and eyes
Give your eyebrows a clear shape. They frame the face and help visually lengthen the oval.
For eye makeup, choose natural shadows so as not to distract attention from the oval of the face. Apply mascara to add expressiveness to the eyes.
Step 6. The final touch: lips
Choose a lipstick or gloss in a neutral shade so that the emphasis remains on the contours of the face. If you want to make your lips more voluminous, add a little highlighter to the upper part.
Spray with a makeup setting spray to keep the result all day.
