Dry skin is one of the most common problems, especially during the colder months. Flaking, tightness, discomfort, and a dull complexion can not only ruin your mood but also accelerate the aging process. To restore your skin’s soft, smooth, and radiant glow, simply follow a few simple yet important skincare rules. We at joy-pup share these rules.
Gentle Cleansing Instead of Harsh Cleansing
Many women make the mistake of washing their skin with products that “squeak” on the skin. Alkaline soaps, harsh foams, and gels destroy the natural protective barrier, increasing dryness.
What to do: Choose gentle cleansers—sulfate-free gels, cream cleansers, or micellar water. It’s best to replace hot water with warm water to avoid overdrying your skin.
Moisturizing is the most important step in skincare
Even oily skin can suffer from dehydration, so everyone needs a moisturizer. The secret is in the right ingredients: hyaluronic acid retains moisture, glycerin and panthenol soften, and ceramides restore the barrier.
Tip: Apply cream immediately after cleansing, while the skin is still slightly damp, so the active ingredients work more effectively.
Nourishment from within

Skin beauty depends largely on what we eat and drink. A lack of water and fatty acids immediately results in dryness and dullness.
Drink at least 1.5 liters of clean water per day. Add foods rich in omega-3 and omega-6 to your diet: fish, nuts, avocado, and flaxseed oil. Include fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, E, and C.
Protection from external factors
Sun, frost, wind, and dry indoor air are the skin’s main enemies. In winter, use sunscreens with a thicker texture, and in summer, be sure to use creams with SPF, even on cloudy days.
Regular skincare rituals
Skin requires systematic care, not just occasional treatment. Therefore, apply moisturizing masks 2-3 times a week and use serums with hyaluronic acid in courses.
