Sugar scrubs are often used for facial skin care. They allow you to exfoliate dead skin cells and restore freshness and radiance. Scrubs also stimulate microcirculation, nourish and moisturize, thanks to the vitamins and minerals they contain. But you need to understand how to use them correctly. We at joy-pup tell you what you need to know about using sugar scrubs.
Choose a scrub for your skin type
For dry skin, it is better to choose sugar scrubs with oils (olive, coconut, almond). For oily and combination skin, formulas with the addition of citrus extracts or clay are suitable. If you have sensitive skin, it is better to use scrubs with small sugar crystals.
Use the scrub correctly

In order not to harm yourself, it is worth using the scrub correctly. To do this, you can use several tips.
- Apply a small amount to damp skin.
- Massage your face with light circular movements for 1-2 minutes, avoiding the area around the eyes and lips.
- Do not press too hard: sugar itself is quite abrasive.
- Rinse with warm water.
After the procedure, carefully remove the remains of the scrub. You can lightly blot your face with a soft towel.
Finish the care with moisturizing
After the scrub, the skin becomes especially receptive to care products, so apply a moisturizer or serum.
Sugar scrub should be used 2 times a week if you have normal or oily skin. For girls with dry and sensitive skin, it is worth using this product no more than 1 time per week.
