The World Conservation Unions are calling on Earth’s gardeners to be patient and allow their garden to wake up after winter so as not to mow during the first month of active flowering.
According to a leading conservation organization, the number of people around the world who don’t mow their lawns is on the rise following a successful campaign to save wild gardens. This year, Plantlife is once again urging gardeners to keep their lawnmowers in the barn throughout May to allow wild plants to bloom and insects to nectar. The charity’s findings show that “a radical shift in attitudes towards lawn care is underway.”
