The streaming platform Netflix has released the debut teaser for a mystical project with the intriguing title “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.” The producers of the cult show “Stranger Things,” created by the Duffer brothers, are working on the series.
The premiere is scheduled for March 26, 2026. Judging by the first images, viewers can expect a dark story with mounting anxiety and psychological tension. The plot centers on Rachel Garkin, played by Camila Morrone, and her fiancé, Nicky, played by Adam DiMarco. The couple travels to the groom’s family’s secluded country house to prepare for a small wedding ceremony. However, instead of the joyful anticipation of a celebration, a sense of impending doom gradually fills the atmosphere. As the official description puts it, “a week before an unhappy wedding, a sense of foreboding hangs in the air.”
The idea was created by Haley Z. Boston, who previously worked on Guillermo del Toro’s The Cabinet of Curiosities. The production team includes the creators of Stranger Things, which is already piqued the interest of genre fans. The director of the acclaimed series The Fawn has also joined the team. In addition to Morrone and DiMarco, the cast includes renowned actors Jennifer Jason Leigh (from The Hateful Eight), Ted Levine (star of The Silence of the Lambs), Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome (from Misfits), Gus Birney (Shining Valley), and Sawyer Fraser.
The new series promises to be one of the most talked-about premieres of spring 2026, combining elements of psychological thriller, family drama, and mystical horror.
