Warner Bros. has released an extended trailer for the sci-fi horror film “The Bride.” The film stars Oscar winner Christian Bale as the legendary Frankenstein monster. His filmography includes iconic films such as “American Psycho,” “The Machinist,” “Vice,” “Ford v Ferrari,” and “The Dark Knight” trilogy.
The film’s plot is based on Mary Shelley’s celebrated novel “Frankenstein; or, the Modern Prometheus,” but the action is set in the 1930s. In the story, a monster isolated from society finds himself in Chicago, where he approaches a talented scientist, Dr. Euphronius, asking him to create a life partner for him. A risky experiment results in the resurrection of a dead young woman, who becomes the Bride. However, this attempt to defy death sets off a chain of tragic and terrifying events: the story unfolds into a dark fusion of forbidden love, social transformation, obsessions, and crimes that challenge the very boundaries of human existence.
The new trailer features the musical score “Everybody Scream” by Florence + The Machine, enhancing the film’s unsettling and emotionally charged atmosphere.
Christian Bale’s on-screen partner is Jessie Buckley, known for her roles in “Unknown Daughter” and “Masculine,” as well as the series “Chernobyl” and “Fargo.” The actress recently won a Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in the drama “Hamnet.”
You can also watch the trailer for the horror film “The Terror,” starring Kit Harrington and Sophie Turner.
