The streaming service Hulu has released the first trailer for the sequel to the cult sitcom from the early 2000s, “Malcolm in the Middle.”

The new project is titled “Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair,” and the four-part special is scheduled to premiere on April 10th. The main character will once again be an adult Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz.

The plot reads: “After more than a decade away, Malcolm returns to the family circle when Gal and Lois insist on his presence at their 40th wedding anniversary party.”

Nearly the entire original cast has returned to their roles, including Chris Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Amy Coligado. Caleb Ellsworth-Clark now plays Dewey. New cast members include Keeley Karsten, Vaughn Murray, and Kiana Madeira.

“Malcolm in the Middle” ran on Fox from 2000 to 2006, spanning seven seasons. The series introduced viewers to the life of genius Malcolm and his crazy family, distinguished by its offbeat humor and ironic take on family dynamics.

You can also watch the trailer for the action film “Breakdown,” starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
