The first teaser for the revamped “Scrubs,” which originally aired from 2001 to 2010, has been released online. The project brings back almost the entire legendary cast.
Zach Braff will reprise his role as John “J.D.” Dorian after 15 years. Judging by the teaser, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke are also joining him in the reboot, reprising their iconic characters.
The 40-second clip shows a touching reunion between J.D., Elliot Reed, and Chris Turk at Sacred Heart Hospital. Old friends and colleagues find themselves side by side once again, but now they must work in a completely different medical reality. The video also features Robert Maschio, Phill Lewis, Judy Reyes, and John C. McGinley.
In addition to familiar characters, viewers will also be introduced to new ones. The reboot will feature Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Leila Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow.
As a reminder, the original “Scrubs” premiered in 2001 and was originally scheduled to end with an eighth season. However, fans were given a ninth special season, consisting of 13 episodes. The premiere of the updated version of the series is scheduled for February 25th and will be available on Hulu.
