StudioCanal has released the first trailer for the Amy Winehouse biopic, Back to Black. This performer became one of the most popular in the 2000s.
The film will chronicle the singer’s life and career, from her early days as a jazz musician in North London. It will also chronicle the rise to fame of the Grammy-winning star, known worldwide for hits such as Rehab and Back to Black.
The main role in the film is played by actress Marisa Abela. The role of the singer’s ex-husband will be played by Jack O’Connell. By the way, Amy Winehouse’s wife’s name is Blake Fielder-Civil, he inspired her to write her most famous hits, but at the same time got her hooked on drugs.
The film was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, who directed the biopic Becoming John Lennon (2009). The biographical film is due to be released on April 12, 2024 in Britain, and on May 10 in the United States.
