The first official teaser has been released for the biopic “Michael,” dedicated to the life and work of the legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The film stars his nephew as the lead.
The project was directed by Antoine Fuqua, with Jafar Jackson portraying Michael. The cast also includes Kendrick Sampson, Miles Teller, Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Jessica Sula, Larenz Tate, Laura Harrier, and Kat Graham.
The approximately minute-long teaser opens with scenes in a recording studio, where a young Jackson is talking with his mentor, legendary producer Quincy Jones.
“You’ve been waiting for this for a long time. The songs are written, the tracks are ready. “Let’s start over,” Jones says, addressing the singer.
The video features scenes from Michael’s childhood, his iconic performances, and fragments recreating iconic music videos, including the famous “Thriller.”
The film’s premiere, originally scheduled for October 2025, has been postponed to April 2026.
