The streaming platform Netflix has released the debut teaser for the new series “Pride and Prejudice.” The project stars Emma Corrin, known for her work on The Crown, and Jack Lowden, who previously starred in Dunkirk.

The six-episode miniseries will be another interpretation of Jane Austen’s classic novel, Pride and Prejudice. The creators emphasize their desire to preserve the atmosphere and style of the original while making the story more relatable and accessible to modern audiences. The premiere is scheduled for fall 2026.

In the short clip, viewers get their first glimpse of Corrin’s Elizabeth Bennet, standing on a rooftop in the rays of the setting sun. Then follow emotional sequences that build suspense. The silence is broken by the sound of a galloping horse, and Mr. Darcy, played by Louden, appears on screen.

The screenplay was adapted by British writer Dolly Alderton, author of Everything I Know About Love. Director Eurus Lyn, who has worked on such projects as Doctor Who and Sherlock, is in the director’s chair.

This new take on the classic story promises to combine traditional British aesthetics with a modern take on a familiar plot.
