The streaming platform Netflix has released the first official teaser for the romantic comedy “People We Meet on Vacation,” based on the popular novel by Emily Henry. The book has won worldwide acclaim.
The plot centers on friends Poppy and Alex, who regularly spend their summer holidays together. Their relationship seems friendly, but the question always arises: is it really just friendship, or are there deeper feelings behind it?
“This isn’t just a romantic film. We wanted to give viewers the emotional experience of being on vacation with Poppy and Alex,” director Brett Gailey shared in an interview with Tudum.
The film adaptation of the novel “People We Meet on Vacation” will premiere on Netflix on January 9, 2026.
