20th Century Studios has released the official trailer for the long-awaited sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada.”
According to the creators, the film will premiere on May 1, 2026.
The trailer description reads: “Nearly 20 years have passed since the release of the iconic film that made Miranda, Andy, Emily, and Nigel icons of the fashion world. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci return to the streets of New York and the stylish offices of Runway magazine in the highly anticipated sequel to the legendary 2006 film that defined a generation.”
The film was produced by Wendy Finerman, with Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt, and Aline Brosh McKenna serving as executive producers.
The plot of the second film revolves around Miranda, who faces difficulties in the world of fashion magazines. The only person who can help her is her former assistant, Emily. Now the powerful owner of several fashion companies, Emily will have to come to the editor’s aid to restore the magazine’s success.
It’s worth remembering that the original film is based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel. The cinematic adaptation was released in 2006, immersing audiences in the world of fashion and the fashion magazine Runway.
