HBO has officially confirmed the release of the Game of Thrones spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
The series is currently in post-production. Originally, the series, starring Peter Claffey, Dexter Saul Ansell, Finn Bennett, Bertie Carvel, and other actors, was supposed to premiere this fall. However, it was postponed without explanation.
As HBO CEO Casey Bloys noted after the 2025 Emmy Awards, the series could premiere in January 2026.

The third season of the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, is also scheduled to premiere next year. It is scheduled for June 2026.
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is based on George R.R. Martin’s novellas about the adventures of Dunk and Egg. The events take place 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones, during the reign of the Targaryen dynasty in Westeros. The main characters are the knight errant Sir Duncan the Great and his page, Egg.
