The trailer for the action film “Breakdown,” starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has been released

The streaming service Netflix has released a holiday teaser for the new crime thriller “The Rip,” starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

The film is scheduled for release on January 16, 2026, and will be available immediately to Netflix subscribers. Joe Carnahan, known for his work on “Smokin’ Aces” and “The A-Team,” directed this action-packed and suspenseful project.

The plot follows a group of Miami police officers who unexpectedly discover a large sum of money in an abandoned stash house. This discovery sets off a series of dangerous events that gradually destroy the trust and cohesion within the team.

In addition to Affleck and Damon, the film features an impressive cast: Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins, and Kyle Chandler.

The producing team is led by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon themselves, joined by Dani Bernfeld and Luciana Damon.
