The trailer for Kristin Scott Thomas’ debut film, My Mother’s Wedding, has been released, in which Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, and Emily Beecham play sisters. Actress Scarlett Johansson also directed, co-wrote, and produced the film.
According to the plot, three sisters return to their parental home for the wedding of their twice-widowed mother. But the celebration turns into a family drama, as old grievances of the heroines are revealed. This makes them think about the future. The situation escalates against the backdrop of the presence of some guests.
The film is partly based on the biography of Kristin Scott Thomas, who lost her father at the age of five, and a few years later, her stepfather. The film will be released on August 8.
