Channel 24A has presented the first trailer for the biographical sports drama film “The Smashing Machine”, which is dedicated to two-time UFC heavyweight champion Mark Kerry. The main role in the film is played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, whose appearance was changed so much that he is unrecognizable.
The drama tells the story of Mark Kerry, who was nicknamed “The Smashing Machine” for his aggressive fighting style. He is a former American wrestler and mixed martial artist, a representative of the heavyweight category. The fighter is a two-time UFC champion, the winner of the World Vale Tudo Championship, the Pride FC champion, the 1992 national wrestling champion, the 1994 national freestyle champion, and a four-time submission world champion. The film shows his period of victories, as well as how he fights addiction, loves, and makes friends.
Emily Blunt plays the leading female role in the film. Ryan Bader, Bas Rutten, and Oleksandr Usyk, who plays Ukrainian MMA fighter Igor Vovchanchyn, also starred in the film.
The film is set to hit the big screens on October 3.
