In a few weeks, OpenAI plans to release a new version of ChatGPT, which, according to the company’s CEO, Sam Altman, will add access to adult content. He announced this on his social media page.
Altman noted that ChatGPT was previously configured quite strictly to minimize potential risks related to users’ mental health. However, he said, this made the system less flexible and not always user-friendly for those without such issues.
Now that OpenAI has managed to mitigate serious risks and implement new control tools, the company has decided to reconsider the restrictions. Furthermore, the OpenAI CEO announced that they plan to open access to erotic content and role-playing scenarios as early as December, but only to adult users who have passed age verification.
As a reminder, ChatGPT has begun verifying user age and restricting features for children.
