A model of artificial intelligence has been created in the Google DeepMind laboratory that will allow you to communicate with dolphins. The model was called DolphinGemma and was trained on the clicks, whistles and crackles that dolphins make.
Scientists, using a special case and a Pixel smartphone on which the model is launched, record the sounds of dolphins, analyze them and even generate sounds in response. The model was trained on data from the Wild Dolphin Project (WDP), a non-profit organization that has been studying dolphins in the Bahamas for 35 years. Each sound recording comes with context about what the animal was doing at that moment.
The final goal of the project is to create a dictionary that will help establish full-fledged two-way communication.
Recall that scientists managed to breed chickens with feathers like dinosaurs.
