American actress Sally Kirkland, known for her role in the film “Bruce Almighty,” has died at the age of 84.

The actress passed away in a California hospital. The exact cause of death has not yet been disclosed, but it is reported that Sally had previously suffered four fractures and, during her recovery, experienced severe infections that required lengthy treatment and repeated hospitalization. Her representatives emphasized:
“Everyone who knew Sally and saw her work understood that she was a true master of acting, capable of conveying emotion through her deep humanity and genuine empathy for people.”

Sally Kirkland began her career on the stage and then transitioned to film. Audiences remember her roles in films such as “The Sting,” “The Sting,” “A Star Is Born,” and “Bruce Almighty.”
For her role as a Czechoslovakian actress in the drama “Anna,” Sally was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe. Her final work was the short film “Callie,” filmed in 2025.
