Alec Baldwin was recently indicted by a New Mexico grand jury for the murder of camerawoman Galina Hutchins. He responded and pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter of a woman during the filming of the film Rust.
If the actor is found guilty of murdering Galina Hutchins through negligence in 2021, then he could be jailed for 18 months.
A New Mexico grand jury indicted Baldwin a year after prosecutors first brought the same charges and then dropped them. On February 1, Baldwin was supposed to appear on a video link, but refused to speak.
He currently remains free without bail, but under the terms of his release he is prohibited from carrying firearms, drinking alcohol or communicating with witnesses in the case, except for cases related to the release of the film. An actor has no right to invite witnesses to create a documentary about the filming of “Rust.”
