Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway boasted about her one-year anniversary of sobriety. She is celebrating 5 years since she completely gave up alcohol. She spoke about this in an interview with the New York Times.
The star wants to stay away from drinking until her youngest child turns 18. Back in 2019, she told The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she would stop drinking while her son lived in her house. After all, she doesn’t like the way she drinks at all. Besides, at that moment her son was approaching the age when he needed Anne all the time in the morning.
Recalling her problems with alcohol, the actress said she gave up alcohol after a particularly bad day. He followed the night with copious amounts of alcohol.
The actress took her eldest son, Jem, to school. She wasn’t driving, but she had a terrible hangover. And she didn’t like it. Additionally, her decision to focus on sobriety became even more important when she and her husband Adam welcomed their second son, Jack, in 2019.
