American actor Matt Clark, known for his work on Back to the Future Part III, passed away at the age of 89. He died on Sunday, March 15, at his home in Austin, Texas. The cause of death was complications following spinal surgery; he had previously been diagnosed with a broken back. He is survived by a large family: children, grandchildren, and a great-grandson.

Clark’s family noted that he was a man of strong character and devotion to his loved ones: he built his own home, maintained strong friendships for decades, and always remained a reliable support system for his family and community.

Matt Clark began his acting career on the stage and then moved into film. He gained real recognition thanks to his roles in Westerns. His most notable projects include Return to Oz, Back to the Future Part III, Walker: Texas Ranger, and A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014).
