Actor Nicholas Brandon, best known for his role as Xander Harris in the cult series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died in the United States. He was 54 years old.
His family announced his death. They said he died in his sleep, and the cause was natural causes.
In an official statement, the family noted that Brandon was a man of sensitive spirit and a sincere passion for creativity. In recent years, he developed a serious interest in painting and actively shared his work with fans. His family also emphasized that, despite previous health issues, the actor was undergoing treatment and was looking to the future with hope. He gained his greatest popularity for his role as Xander, one of the main character’s closest friends, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. Viewers loved Brandon’s character for his sense of humor and loyalty to his friends.
After the series ended in 2003, the actor continued his career, appearing in various film and television projects. In particular, he starred in the series Criminal Minds, where he played Kevin Lynch. However, in his personal life, he long struggled with addiction and mental health issues, which repeatedly led to trouble with the law.
