Daniel “Ace” Frehley, one of the founding members and guitarist of the iconic rock band Kiss, has died at the age of 74.
According to his family, Frehley’s death was due to complications from injuries sustained in a fall a month earlier. The family’s official statement states that they are inconsolable and deeply devastated. In his final moments, they surrounded the guitarist with love, warmth, and prayers.

Daniel Frehley joined Kiss in late 1972, becoming a key member alongside Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss. His playing and charismatic persona contributed greatly to the band’s success.
In 1982, the musician left the band, deciding to focus on his solo career. Several years later, in 1996, the original Kiss lineup reunited for a massive world tour, which Ace toured with until 2002.

After leaving the band, he continued his career as a solo artist, first with Frehley’s Comet and then under his own name. His 1978 album, released alongside solo releases by other Kiss members, received particular acclaim from fans, largely thanks to the hit cover of “New York Groove,” which became the musician’s signature song.
As a reminder, The Sopranos star Jerry Adler has died at the age of 96.
