The legendary American director David Lynch has died. The sad news was announced by his family on his official Facebook page. The director passed away on January 16 at the age of 78.
David Lynch’s family is not talking about the exact cause of the director’s death. They also asked for their privacy to be respected at the time of grief.
“It is with great sadness that we, his family, announce the death of husband and artist David Lynch. There is a big hole in the world right now that he is no longer with us. But as he said, “Look at the donut, not the hole.” This is a beautiful day with golden sunshine and blue skies all the way,” the director’s family said in a statement.
It is known that David Lynch suffered from pulmonary emphysema. This disease was caused by prolonged smoking. The director himself spoke about this in an interview.
David Lynch is an American director who also acted in films. He worked on such popular films as: “The Elephant Man”, “Blue Velvet”. The director often became a laureate of popular awards, and was also repeatedly nominated for an Oscar.
