Famous director David Lynch is seriously ill – he is housebound

The popular American director David Lynch, who filmed Twin Peaks, has spoken about his serious illness.

It is known that the 78-year-old director was diagnosed with pulmonary emphysema. This is a chronic disease in which the lungs increase in volume, and exhalation requires great effort. The cause of the disease was smoking, which David Lynch could not give up for many years.

In an interview with Sight and Sound, he said that he got emphysema due to long-term smoking. Therefore, now he is housebound, whether he likes it or not. It is bad for him to get sick, even with a cold. And he can only walk short distances before he runs out of oxygen.

Due to illness, David Lynch’s directing career may end. But at the moment he doesn’t want to give up his favorite business completely.
