Famous actor Johnny Depp returns to Hollywood. He will reunite with Penelope Cruz on the big screen and star in the film Day Drinker directed by Marc Webb. The actor himself shared this news.
Hollywood stars will play the leading roles in the film. Previously, Sydney Sweeney was considered for the female role in the film.
The film will be the fourth joint project of Depp and Cruz. They also starred together in the films Blow, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and Murder on the Orient Express. The new film is based on an original screenplay by Zach Dean and follows a cruise ship bartender who meets a mysterious drinker. The two find themselves drawn into a criminal underworld and become connected in unexpected ways.
Johnny Depp’s last major film was 2018’s Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. In recent years, he has also starred in Jeanne du Bary, Minamata, Waiting for the Barbarians, and more.
