Shannen Doherty’s ex-husband arrested

The ex-husband of American actress Shannen Doherty, who died of cancer on July 13, was arrested in Beverly Hills.

Actor and musician Ashley Hamilton, to whom the artist was married from 1993 to 1994, was arrested. He was detained after an incident in one of the city’s hotels. He allegedly threatened a security guard with a knife, who noticed the actor when he was sleeping on a couch in the lobby. The guard reprimanded Ashley, because it was forbidden to sleep there. But the actor jumped up from the couch and began to threaten the hotel employee. So the police had to be called.

The police took the actor to the hospital to check whether he was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Then Hamilton admitted that he took some pills, including those prescribed to him for cancer treatment. According to him, he is battling cancer and takes painkillers. But he does not remember the incident at the hotel.

Now the hotel security guard is going to press charges against Ashley Hamilton for armed assault. Law enforcement officers will transfer the case to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Ashley Hamilton is Shannen Doherty’s first official husband. She has had three marriages in total.
