The Sopranos star Jerry Adler has died

American actor Jerry Adler has died at the age of 96. His death was announced by the actor’s family in an obituary, after which the sad news was confirmed by Page Six. The cause of Adler’s death has not been disclosed.

The actor died on August 23, 2025. He died peacefully in his sleep in New York. Adler’s friend Frank J. Reilly showed joint photos with him and noted that he began acting at the age of 65. One of the actor’s most important roles was the character Herman Hash Rabkin, who was Tony Soprano’s adviser in The Sopranos.

The actor is survived by four daughters and a wife with whom he lived for 31 years.
