The actress posted a photo of her lover, professional snowboarder Shaun White, proposing to her. He invited Dobrev to a restaurant, and when the actress entered the establishment, she noticed an arch decorated with white flowers and lit candles. Her boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed. Nina said yes.

For the actress, who is 35 years old, this marriage will be the first. She previously dated Ian Somergolder, with whom she starred in The Vampire Diaries. She began dating Shaun White in 2020.
