The famous American actor Val Kilmer has died at the age of 65. He became famous for his role as Batman in Joel Schumacher’s film “Batman Forever”.

The actor died on April 1, 2025. His family and friends were with him. Information about Val Kilmer’s death was confirmed by his daughter Mercedes, who indicated that the cause was pneumonia.

The actor began his career in 1981 with the theater. He gained fame in cinema in the 1990s, thanks to his role in the 1993 film “Tombstones”, where Kurt Russell and Bill Paxton also played. He also became famous for his roles as a ghost in the film True Romance and as a bank robbery expert in Heat, where he played with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

But the actor’s real breakthrough was his role in the 1995 film Batman Forever, where he played with Nicole Kidman. Another iconic role was the actor’s transformation into the desperate pilot Tom “Iceman” Kazansky in the film Top Gun. In total, the actor starred in more than 80 films. He also published two books of poetry.

In 2014, the actor was diagnosed with throat cancer. He underwent a tracheotomy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Because of this, it was difficult for the artist to speak. Val Kilmer confirmed that he was diagnosed with cancer only in 2017.
