Shanghai-based AgiBot set a new world record. Its humanoid robot, AgiBot A2, walked 106.286 kilometers without stopping, officially registering in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest distance covered by a robot of its type.

AgiBot representatives reported that the route ran from Jinji Lake in Suzhou to the North Bund in Shanghai.

Previously, nearly 70% of robots that participated in the half marathon alongside humans failed to reach the finish line. A2, however, completed a distance more than twice the length of a classic marathon and did so without stopping. The AgiBot A2 robot is equipped with its own ActionGPT system, capable of processing text, speech, and images. It weighs approximately 69 kg and stands approximately 1.7 meters tall. A replaceable 700 Wh battery is mounted on its back, providing up to two hours of battery life. The robot’s modular design allows it to be adapted to various tasks and facilities.

For autonomous navigation, the A2 is equipped with six cameras and lidars, providing 360-degree visibility. Remote control, including smartphone control, is also supported. A special version of the A2-W is already in use at Fulin Precision factories, where the robot helps move materials and perform routine operations.

As a reminder, an edible robot has been created in Switzerland.
