China has already tested 6G Internet

In China, China Mobile conducted the world’s first test of the 6G network, achieving a data transfer speed of up to 280 Gbps. This is 14 times higher than the theoretical maximum with 5G. Thanks to this speed, a 50 GB file can be downloaded in just 1.4 seconds.

The operator has launched 10 experimental sites where the new technology is being tested. It claims that it has already formed ten key technologies on which 6G will be built.

This operator has also launched the first satellite into orbit that can transmit data in the 6G range. It is located at an altitude of 500 km above the Earth, which ensures low latency and high throughput. Usually, such satellites are located at an altitude of about 36 thousand km, so they allow lower speeds.
