The Chinese have created a “brain” for a humanoid robot

The Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI) has shown a new generation open AI model RoboBrain 2.0, which is designed as a “brain” for robots. It has improved spatial intelligence by 17% and increased task planning accuracy by 74%.

BAAI head Wang Zhongyuan called this model the world’s most powerful open AI model, which is designed to improve all types of robots, including humanoids.

Thanks to improved spatial intelligence, robots will be able to perceive distances to surrounding objects much more accurately. Improved task planning capabilities give humanoids the ability to independently divide complex actions into simpler steps, thereby increasing the overall accuracy of execution.
