The release of the new flagship iPhone 12 Pro Max is scheduled for October 2020. However, the data leak about its main characteristics has been already released to the public. Insider sources revealed information from supposedly one of the Apple marketing department staff workers, who gave screenshots with the characteristics of the new iPhone 12 Pro Max smartphone.
They compare the announced flagship iPhone 12 Pro Max with its predecessor, iPhone 11 Pro. The newly-designed product from Apple, iPhone 12 Pro Max, is already called the most long-running one in the line of Apple smartphones. The new Apple device is expected to function 2 hours longer than its predecessor, iPhone 11 Pro. As for the price of the flagship iPhone 12 Pro Max, according to informants, it will be $1099.
It is also known that the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be powered by the Apple A14 chipset.
The new-generation model is equipped with a 6.7-inch 10-bit OLED Super Retina XDR screen. The resolution is 2788 by 1284 pixels (460 ppi). Like the previous version – iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max will get True Tone technology, P3 color gamut coverage and 800 nits max brightness.
Three cameras with a resolution of 16 megapixels, enlarged camera sensors (LiDAR scanner, as in iPad Pro 2020) – all this is expected for the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. LiDAR technology, by the way, is able to recognize objects around you and provide information about the shape, size, direction and height of an object located at a distance of 5 meters from you.
Also, according to upfront information from the insider screenshots, the wide-angle lens of iPhone 12 Pro Max will be equipped with image stabilization and sensor shift. Image Stabilization (IS) gives photographers the possibility of shooting photos or videos without blur, and without using a tripod. Any camera with built-in image stabilization allows you to shoot with much slower shutter speed than a camera without it, providing sharpness and good quality of the images.
