Its highlight is the harmonious combination of sweet and sour taste, creamy texture and light piquancy. Ingredients:

  • Mayonnaise – 200 g
  • Ketchup (or tomato sauce) – 2 tbsp.
  • Pickled cucumbers (gherkins) – 2-3 pcs.
  • Onions (small) – 1 pc.
  • Boiled egg (optional) — 1 pc.
  • Apple or wine vinegar — 1 tsp
  • Sugar — 1 tsp
  • Salt — to taste
  • Ground black pepper — to taste
  • Tabasco or other hot sauce — optional (a few drops)

Step-by-step preparation:

  • Finely chop the cucumbers and onion. If you are using an egg, grate it on a fine grater.
  • In a deep bowl, mix mayonnaise and ketchup until smooth.
  • Add chopped vegetables, egg, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper to the sauce. Mix well.
  • If desired, add a few drops of Tabasco sauce for piquancy.
  • Put the finished sauce in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes so that it infuses and the flavors mix.
