Bronzer is a real magician in the world of cosmetics. It can instantly give the face a warm, rested look, highlight the cheekbones and create the effect of a light tan. But if applied incorrectly, it can look unnatural and even weigh down the image. We at joy-pup tell you how to apply bronzer correctly so that your makeup looks fresh, beautiful and professional. Read also how to choose such a product for your skin type.
Prepare the skin
Apply bronzer only to prepared skin. Be sure to moisturize it, apply foundation and (if necessary) concealer. Fix the tone with powder, especially if you use a dry bronzer. This will help avoid stains and make shading easier.
Use the “rule of three”
For a natural effect, apply bronzer in a “3” pattern on each side of the face: start at the temples, move the brush to the cheekbones and then to the jawline.
You can also apply bronzer to the bridge of the nose and the top of the forehead – the areas that usually tan first in the sun. Use a soft fluffy brush and do not pick up too much product. It is better to layer it little by little.
Don’t forget about shading

The edges of the bronzer should be as soft as possible. Without smooth shading, the product can look like dirty spots. Move in circular motions, lightly touching the skin. If necessary, go over it with a clean brush or sponge to “soften” the transitions.
Combine with blush and highlighter
To make the makeup look lively and voluminous, apply blush to the apples of the cheeks. Add a little highlighter to the top of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and the little tick above your upper lip. This will make your face look fresh, radiant, and natural.
Don’t forget about your neck and décolleté
If you’re using bronzer to create a tanned effect, don’t forget to lightly brush it over your neck, collarbones, and décolleté. This will help even out your overall skin tone and avoid a contrast between your face and body.
