Australian actor Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness shocked fans with the news. They are divorcing after 27 years of marriage.
According to People, the couple released a joint statement. In it, the couple emphasized that they lived in a wonderful marriage, but now they will continue their journey separately.
The statement says the following:
“We were able to live together for almost three decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. But now our path is changing, we have decided to separate in order to continue our individual growth.”
The couple added in a statement that their family will always be their top priority. But now they move on to the next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.
Recall that Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness met in 1995 during the filming of the series “Corell”. In 1996, the couple got married. Over time, the lovers became one of Hollywood’s favorite couples; they have two children: 23-year-old Oscar and 18-year-old Ava.
