  • 1 ginger root, grated

  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Step by step recipe:

  • Rinse the lentils and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, sauté onion, carrots, garlic and ginger until soft.
  • Add lentils, coconut milk and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer until lentils are soft.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Step by step recipe:

  • Strain the lentils and place in a blender along with the onion, garlic and cumin. Grind until smooth.

  • Form the dough into flat cakes and fry them in a frying pan on both sides until golden brown.
