Chicken liver in batter is a great option for a hearty dinner or snack. This dish combines the tenderness of the liver and the crispy crust of the batter. Ingredients:
- Chicken liver – 500 g
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
- Flour – 4-5 tbsp.
- Milk or water – 50 ml
- Salt – to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Paprika (optional) – 0.5 tsp.
- Sunflower oil – for frying

Recipe for making chicken liver in batter
- Rinse the chicken liver thoroughly under cold water, remove the films and veins. Cut large pieces of liver in half. Dry with a paper towel.
- In a deep bowl, beat the eggs with milk or water. Add a pinch of salt, pepper and, if you like, a little paprika or other spices. Pour in the flour, mix thoroughly with a whisk so that there are no lumps. The consistency of the batter should be similar to thick sour cream.
- Roll each piece of liver in batter so that it is completely covered on both sides.
- Heat the frying pan with sunflower oil over medium heat. Place the pieces of liver in batter and fry on each side for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Do not overcook the liver on the fire so that it remains juicy inside.
- Place the cooked chicken livers on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot, with a side dish of mashed potatoes, rice or fresh vegetables.
