Millet is one of the most popular and healthy grains. It is rich in nutrients and can be used to prepare a variety of dishes. It can also be used to prepare dishes for dinner. We at joy-pup offer several recipes for millet porridge for dinner.

Millet with vegetables and mushrooms
Ingredients:
- 1 cup millet
- 2 glasses of water
- 200 g fresh mushrooms
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 1 red pepper
- 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- Rinse the millet and boil in salted water until tender (15-20 minutes). Strain and set aside.
- Chop the mushrooms, chop the onions and carrots, and cut the peppers into cubes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until golden brown.
- Add mushrooms and carrots, fry until mushrooms are soft.
- Salt and pepper the vegetables, then add red pepper to them.
- Place the cooked millet in a frying pan with vegetables and mushrooms. Stir and cook for a few more minutes.
Millet with chicken breast and nuts
Ingredients:
- 1 cup millet
- 2 glasses of water
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp. spoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- Wash the millet and boil in salted water until tender. Strain and set aside.
- Grill or fry the chicken breast with olive oil until done.
- Roughly chop the walnuts and fry in a dry frying pan.
- Mix the cooked millet with nuts, add lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve millet with chicken breast sprinkled with nuts.
Millet with stewed beef and vegetables
Ingredients:
- 1 cup millet
- 2 glasses of water
- 300 g beef meat
- 1 carrot
- 1 potato
- 1 onion
- 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil
- Salt, pepper and spices to taste
Step-by-step preparation:
- Wash the millet and boil in salted water until tender. Strain and set aside.
- Cut the beef into small pieces.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the meat until golden brown.
- Add chopped onions, carrots and potatoes to it and fry for a few minutes.
- Salt, pepper and add spices to taste.
- Pour a little water over the vegetables and meat and simmer until the vegetables are done.
- Mix cooked millet with stewed meat and vegetables. Serve hot.
