Stuffed squid is a very tasty and sophisticated dish that can decorate any menu. At the same time, for the filling you can use not only meat or seafood, but also vegetables. We at joy-pup offer several step-by-step recipes for stuffed squid.
Classic squid with rice and seafood
Ingredients:
- Squid – 4 pieces
- Rice – 100 g
- Peeled shrimp – 150 g
- Onion – 1 piece
- Carrot – 1 piece
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Butter – 20 g
- Salt, pepper – to taste
- Vegetable oil – for frying
- Lemon – 1/2 piece
Step-by-step preparation:
- Boil the rice until half cooked, leave to cool.
- Finely chop the onion and carrot and fry in vegetable oil until soft.
- Add finely chopped shrimp to the vegetables, fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Mix the vegetables, shrimp and rice. Salt, pepper and add the juice of half a lemon.
- Clean the squid, fill them with the filling and secure the hole with toothpicks. Fry the stuffed squid in butter for 2-3 minutes on each side, then simmer under the lid for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with a light salad or lemon wedges.
Squid stuffed with mushrooms and cheese
Ingredients:
- Squid – 4 pieces
- Champignons – 200 g
- Hard cheese – 100 g
- Onion – 1 piece
- Cream 20% – 100 ml
- Salt, pepper – to taste
- Vegetable oil – for frying
- Parsley – for decoration
Step-by-step preparation:
- Finely chop the onion and mushrooms, fry in vegetable oil until tender.
- Grate the cheese and add half to the mushroom filling. Mix, adding salt and pepper.
- Clean the squid, stuff them with the mushroom mixture and secure the edges with toothpicks. Place the squid in a frying pan and fry for 2 minutes on each side.
- Pour in the cream, cover and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
- Serve sprinkled with the remaining cheese and garnished with parsley.
Stuffed squid with chicken and vegetables
Ingredients:
- Squid – 4 pieces
- Chicken fillet – 200 g
- Carrots – 1 piece
- Bell pepper – 1 piece
- Sour cream – 150 g
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Salt, pepper, paprika – to taste
- Vegetable oil – for frying
Step-by-step preparation:
- Cut the chicken fillet into small cubes, fry until tender.
- Add grated carrots and finely chopped bell pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Add salt, pepper and paprika, let the mixture cool.
- Clean the squids, fill them with chicken filling and close the edges with toothpicks.
- Place the squids in a frying pan, fry for 2 minutes on each side.
- Pour sour cream with squeezed garlic, simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
