Oatmeal with apples and cinnamon
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 2 cups milk (or plant milk)
- 2 apples, diced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- A handful of raisins (optional)
- Handful of nuts (optional)
Step-by-step preparation:
- Combine oatmeal, milk, apples, honey and cinnamon in a saucepan.
- Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook, stirring, for about 5-7 minutes until the oatmeal is soft and the porridge has thickened.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with raisins and nuts.
Apple fritters
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1 cup flour
- 1 glass of milk
- 1 apple, finely grated
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Oil for frying
Step-by-step preparation:
- In a bowl, beat the egg and add milk. Gradually add flour, stirring constantly.
- Add grated apple, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir thoroughly to form a homogeneous dough.
- Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil over medium heat. Pour the batter into the frying pan in portions and fry the pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
- Serve the pancakes hot, sprinkled with sugar or with sour cream and honey.
Fruit salad with apples
Ingredients:
- 2 apples, diced
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- Handful of walnuts
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Juice of half a lemon
Step-by-step preparation:
- In a large bowl, combine chopped apples, bananas and oranges.
- Pour lemon juice over the fruit to prevent it from browning.
- Add walnuts and honey. Mix thoroughly.
- The salad is ready to serve. You can garnish it with mint or granola.
