Blueberries are an amazingly tasty and healthy berry that can be an excellent ingredient for various dishes. We at joy-pup offer several options for blueberry dishes with step-by-step preparation.

Blueberry pie
To make this delicious treat, you will need the following ingredients:
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Step by step preparation:
- In a preheated oven at 180 degrees, bake blueberries along with half a glass of sugar for 10-15 minutes. Leave it to cool down.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Add the butter and vanilla extract to the bowl of dry ingredients and mix until you get tiny pieces of dough.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and add them to the crumbs of the dough. Mix to make a homogeneous dough.
- Spread half of the dough on the bottom of a baking sheet previously covered with parchment paper.
- Spread the baked blueberries evenly on top of the batter and then top them with the remaining half of the batter.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook the cake for about 25-30 minutes until it is golden brown.
- Cool the pie before serving. Serve with your choice of whipped cream or scoop of ice cream.
Blueberry smoothie
Delight your loved ones with delicious and fresh smoothies. To prepare it you will need:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup apple or orange juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- a few ice cubes (optional)
Cooking:
- Place blueberries, banana, yogurt, apple or orange juice and honey in a blender.
- Mix all ingredients until you get a smooth consistency.
- If you want the smoothie to be cold, add a few ice cubes and stir again.
- Pour smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
Salad with blueberries and spinach
It will be a good addition to meat or simply as a dish on the festive table. You will need these ingredients:
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup caramelized walnuts
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 100 g soft cheese (like goat)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
Step by step preparation:
- In a large bowl, combine spinach, blueberries, caramelized walnuts, and red onion.
- Break the soft cheese into small pieces and add them to the salad.
- In a separate bowl, mix olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.
- Pour dressing over salad and mix thoroughly.
- Serve the salad immediately as a meal on its own or as a side dish to a main course.
