Basic bath bomb
This is a great option for providing comfort while taking a bath. And making such a bomb is very simple.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup citric acid
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup corn starch (or potato starch)
- 1/2 cup Epsom salts
- 2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon water
- 10-20 drops of essential oil (your choice)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, mix citric acid, baking soda, and cornstarch.
- In a separate bowl, combine coconut oil, water and essential oil. Slowly pour liquid ingredients into dry mixture, stirring constantly.
- Add Epsom salts to the mixture and stir well to form a smooth paste.
- If the mixture is too dry, you can add a little water. It should adhere well, but not be too wet.
- Form bombs by stuffing mixture into muffin tins or use special bath bomb molds.
- Place the bombs on a tray or plate and let them dry.
Bomb with oils and flowers
This option will add the aroma of oils and the beauty of flowers to your bath.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Epsom salt
- Tablespoon of coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon water
- 10-20 drops of an essential oil (such as lavender or rose)
- Dried flower petals (rose, lavender or other)
Instructions:
- Follow the same steps as in the base recipe, mixing the dry ingredients and wet ingredients in separate bowls, then whisking them together.
- Add essential oil to give the bombs a pleasant scent. Choose your favorite oils or combinations to enjoy aromatherapy while bathing.
- Once the mixture is ready, add the dried flower petals to it and mix well.
- Form bombs as described in the basic recipe and leave to dry.
Skin beauty bomb
This recipe is perfect for those who want to make a bomb that will help soften and moisturize the skin.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Epsom salt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons shea butter
- 1 teaspoon water
- 10-20 drops of an essential oil (such as shea, orange, or cedarwood)
Instructions:
- Similar to previous recipes, mix dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls, then combine them together.
- Add shea butter instead of coconut oil to make the bombs more nourishing and hydrating for the skin.
- Like the rest of the recipes, add an essential oil for aromatherapy and a pleasant scent.
- Shape into bombs, leave to dry and enjoy the moisturizing and restorative benefits of your homemade bath bomb.
