Scented wax candles
You can use beeswax or soy wax. With this candle, you can give any shape. But it is better that it be quite large, which will fill the house with aroma. These scented candles are very easy to make.
You will need:
- candle wax;
- wick;
- glass container for candles;
- essential oils for aromatization;
- dyes (if you want to color the candle);
- wax pencil, glue or a special holder for the wick, a container and a brush.
How to make a scented candle step by step
- Using glue or a special holder, fix the wick in the center of the container. Make sure the wick is pulled as tight as possible so it doesn’t move around while pouring the wax.
- Cut the wax into small pieces, place them in a saucepan and melt over low heat, stirring occasionally. Don’t let the wax boil.
- Once the wax is completely melted, add a few drops of essential oils to create fragrance and dyes if you want to color the candle.
- Carefully pour the wax into the prepared container. Keep the wick straight in the center so it doesn’t move. Leave some space at the top so you can add the missing wax later if needed.
- Let the candle cool completely and solidify. This will take several hours.
- After the candle has completely cooled and solidified, trim the wick to the desired length, leaving enough length for lighting. You can also decorate the candle with different decorations if you like.

Read the step-by-step instructions on how to make aroma candles from paraffin.
Wick preparation
- Measure the length of the wick at the base of the cup or glass and add 2-3 cm for the margin.
- Soak the wick in the glue, then insert it into the middle of the glass.
- Press the wick to the bottom of the cup or glass with a stick or wooden stick so that it is level and does not move during the pouring process.
Paraffin preparation
- Cut it into pieces and place in a bowl.
- Fill a saucepan with water, let it boil, put a bowl of paraffin on top and let it melt.
Adding flavor and color
- Add fragrance oil to melted paraffin following package directions. Usually you need to add 10-15 drops of oil per 200 grams of material.
- You can also add dye. Usually you need to add 1-2 drops per 200 grams of wax.
Pouring a candle
- Tilt the cup or glass at an angle and start pouring the paraffin.
- Leave a small indent from the edge of the cup or glass so that the candle does not overflow.
- Wait for the candle to completely cool and solidify before trimming the wick and using it.
